Corissa's SSA Story

Corissa, SSA, smiles with a purple hoodie on When Corrisa began her career as a Student Service Aide (SSA) with Easterseals Massachusetts (ESMA), she found unique ways to expand her skills by not only assisting students with academic skills, but also fostering social experiences. Ed smiles with a mask lowered, and a brick background behind him Are you seeking a rewarding job helping others? Find out more about Ed’s work at Easterseals Masschusetts (ESMA) as a Student Service Aide (SSA) at Pappas Rehabilitation Hospital for Children (PRHC). After retiring as a Firefighter/EMT after 34 years of service, Ed sought to continue to find work helping others. Ed has worked as a SSA for 12 years now and continues to grow within this program. He utilizes his keen sense of humor to bring joy to the students daily and shares his expertise by mentoring staff.

Michela's SSA Story

Michela smiles as an SSA for ESMA Michela began her career at Easterseals Massachusetts (ESMA) as a Lifeguard at Pappas Rehabilitation Hospital for Children (PRHC), and found endless opportunities for growth within the ESMA community. Michela donned many hats—Lifeguard, Recreational Assistant, Student Service Aide, and Family Liaison. Now she works in the Rehabilitation Services department as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in a variety of settings. Read about Michela’s journey with ESMA.
