Why use a Fundraiser versus the donate button?
All fundraisers are public and will pull to the Easterseals official page so that all Easterseals followers have the chance to see individual fundraisers and support.
Also, fundraisers allow a supporter to create a fundraising goal as well as an interactive platform around the individual cause associated with Easterseals. Donation buttons, on the other hand, are a much quicker way to ask for support within the newsfeed, which also means they lose visibility from audiences after the initial post.

Easterseals Massachusetts is a verified nonprofit organization on Facebook which means that anyone can create a Facebook fundraiser for us. Donations are completely secure. All donations can be completely tracked to your individual fundraiser name, team, goal, etc.

Fundraisers give people the tools to get the word out through Facebook, Messenger, Live video and email, all in a place their friends already visit every day.
Easily collect donations
Friends can donate in a few taps without leaving Facebook, making it easier to collect donations. Donors can now choose to give a one-time or monthly recurring gift.
Find new supporters
Each time someone donates they are prompted to share and invite their friends. Shares and re-shares also contain a donate button making it easy to donate right from the News Feed.
Encourage Giving
Creators of nonprofit fundraisers on Facebook can now pledge to match donations to their fundraiser as a way to motivate people to donate. This feature is available to fundraisers created by people as well as verified nonprofit, business and public figure Pages in the US.
