COVID-19 Remote Update (3/17/2020)

Team,

Yesterday you received an email from Wendy Sullivan outlining details the agency is taking to safeguard our staff and individuals. Effective tomorrow, Wednesday, March 18, 2020, many non-service delivery staff will begin working remotely for the safety of both the individuals we support and our staff.  We are taking this immediate action at the recommendation of the Center for Disease Control (CDC).  By being proactive, we are doing our part to limit possible exposure to the Coronavirus.

Thankfully, Easterseals has the technology in place to ensure no disruption in support services. You will be able to contact co-workers as always via their office telephone number, Skype, and email.  For those of you who will begin working remotely, your immediate supervisor will work with you to ensure that you understand the attached policy and have the necessary tools to ensure no disruption in productivity. Office-based staff whose work does not allow them to work remotely will be expected to work in the office at this time.  We are still conducting New Employee Orientation and Staff Trainings at this time.

As always, our commitment is to support our programs with as little disruption as possible. We will continue to monitor the situation and will update you frequently. Please feel free to contact any member of your management team should you have questions or need assistance.

In the meantime, please check the website for FAQs https://www.easterseals.com/midwest/get-involved/community-education/coronavirus.html

If I can be of assistance please let me know.

Thanks,

Laurel Taylor
Chief Human Resources Officer
