COVID-19 Strategy Update (1/21/22)
A Message from our CEO, Wendy Sullivan
I hope this update finds you safe, happy, and healthy.
As a follow-up to last week's email about the Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS), one item we had considered rolling out was collecting weekly testing of our un-vaccinated staff members. We have decided not to put that plan into place as the ETS is not currently going into effect.
We will, however, continue to require staff to report their vaccination status, vaccinated or not, and to provide the appropriate proof of vaccination. Please look for an email from Human Resources in the coming days about how to share your status if you have not already.
In addition, we are also adopting a revised quarantine protocol for positive COVID-19 or those exposed that aligns with new CDC guidelines. Please contact your director and Darryl Kimble for further guidance if you test positive or are exposed to COVID-19. They will be prepared to advise you on how many days you may or may not need to quarantine.
Finally, please continue to follow our policies and best practices to help keep people safe and healthy; continue to:
· Social distance and wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including a mask, at all times while at work.
· Stay home when sick, no matter the severity. Cold, Flu, stomach ache - if you don't feel well, do not come to work.
· Be diligent in handwashing, disinfecting surfaces, and completing daily health screenings.
I want to encourage you to get vaccinated. The vaccine is safe, FDA approved, and is highly effective at preventing you from becoming very sick with COVID-19. If you need the vaccine, text your zip code to 438829 to find a location near you.
As always, thank you for all that you do; if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email them to email@example.com for assistance.
Stay safe and healthy, and thank you for all you do.
