COVID-19 Strategy Update (11/1/2021)

A Message from our CEO, Wendy Sullivan

Dear Friends,

As we enter the holiday season, I hope that this message finds you and your family happy and healthy. At Easterseals, this time of year is one in which we find so many reasons to celebrate. We celebrate our staff, who do the hard work of delivering life-changing services every day. We celebrate the individuals and families we support. And of course, we celebrate you, the dedicated donors and supporters who make it all possible!

I’m excited to share a number of updates with you and to give you a preview of what we can expect in the coming weeks and months at Easterseals.

Festival

It’s still a month away, and already the 38th Annual Festival Gala & Auction is sold out! Held every year at the DoubleTree Hotel-Chesterfield, the Festival Gala has raised more than $12 million to support Easterseals services to our community. This year’s reimagined event will feature exceptional food, live entertainment, and as always, a festive holiday auction. While tickets to the event are no longer available, and we are profoundly grateful for the overwhelming amount of support we have received, we have created a waitlist for people should a ticket become available at www.festivalstl.org.

As we return to hosting in-person events, please know that we are working diligently to ensure the health and safety of staff, volunteers, and our guests. You can view the latest Easterseals updates on our COVID-19 Information page along with requirements when attending an in-person Easterseals event.

Make It a Home for the Holidays

Throughout the month of November, we’ll be collecting items to help make the holidays a little brighter for some of the families we support. Items of all kinds are needed, from household goods and toys to clothing and shoes. If you’re interested in adopting a family this year, please email Shana Albright at shana.albright@esmw.org.

Autism Conference

Finally, there’s still time to sign up for Easterseals’ Virtual Autism Conference! Held November 4th and 5th, this year’s conference features a variety of education sessions for families and professionals alike. Keynote speakers Tim Miles and Temple Grandin will open and close the conference. Learn more or register online.

Until next time, thank you for all that you do.

Sincerely,

Wendy Sullivan
