COVID-19 Missouri (4/3/2020)

State Update and Information

Team,

This email is for the Easterseals staff, who live in the state of Missouri.

A few moments ago, Missouri Governor Parsons issued a statewide "stay at home" order.  We are in contact with the state and will keep our team informed on any changing details.

What does a "stay at home" order mean? This is no different than what the majority of us have had in place for the last few weeks as a result of county orders. However, this order now impacts counties that had not earlier issued this type of order.

Residents of the state will be required to stay in their homes except for "essential" travel. Essential travel includes to work for many businesses, including healthcare and community service providers such as Easterseals, banks, grocery stores, and gas stations, these businesses will remain open and traveling to those places in, around and outside Missouri is allowed. The borders of the state will NOT be closed to travel, and it should not impact getting to your Easterseals work location.

Although we don't believe that you will need them, we have attached two letters. The first from Easterseals designating you as an essential healthcare provider and a second from the Missouri Department of Mental Health, highlighting as such.  These documents, should you need them, empower you to travel to and from work. We recommend taking a photo of each on your phone so that you have them with you.

We will continue to be in touch with the state and will keep you posted.

Thank you for your dedication.
