The Little Warriors scholarship program provides for children of Wounded Warriors to attend one of our Easterseals Child Development Centers. We understand the unique challenges and transitions military families face. Our program is committed to the individual needs of children of Wounded Warriors. Children have the opportunity to discover and explore in a safe, nurturing environment as they prepare for academic success in our
Early Care and Education Programs.

Eligibility:

  • Children — ages 6 weeks to 5 years — of Wounded Warriors

  • Child Development Centers: Washington, DC; Falls Church, VA; College Park, MD; Silver Spring, MD
  • High-quality early care and education
  • Care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years
  • Professional, credentialed, and caring teachers
  • Inclusionary environment
  • Kindergarten readiness
  • NAEYC accreditation

Saturday Respite and Childcare:

  • Monthly Saturday events
  • Trained volunteer matched with each child
  • Care for children ages 6 weeks to 13 years
  • Inclusive program for children with special needs and their siblings
  • Community outings
  • Arts and crafts, music, games, and special performances
  • Lunch and nutritious snacks
