Easterseals Early Intervention program serves infants and toddlers with disabilities or developmental delays, and their families. Services include occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech-language therapy, and special instruction.
Our Early Intervention providers work with families and caregivers to find ways to support their child's development. Services are incorporated into the child’s daily routines and in the child’s natural environment, such as their home or childcare center. Providers use coaching to build on what caregivers are already doing and to increase confidence and comfort when helping their child.
Easterseals DC MD VA is a provider for Strong Start DC Early Intervention Program (DC EIP), a District of Columbia federally mandated program in accordance with the Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Part C.
Strong Start provides Early Intervention services and support for eligible children from birth to three years old and their families who are District of Columbia residents.
Families enrolled in Strong Start are not charged for Early Intervention services, regardless of the family’s income, insurance, and legal or employment status.
