Easterseals Veteran Staffing Network and ServingTogether Announce New Partnership

WASHINGTON, DC – Easterseals Veteran Staffing Network (VSN) and ServingTogether, a program of EveryMind, are pleased to announce a new partnership designed to provide our nation’s veterans and family members with access to comprehensive services that can help address complex issues such as unemployment, homelessness, mental health and housing among other issues.

“We are thrilled to formalize our partnership with ServingTogether, created out of years of working side-by-side in service of our veterans and their families. Their commitment to our military community is exceptional and we are proud to be a critical part of their nationwide referral network. Together, we have been able to provide career coaching, job placement and access to other services offered by Easterseals to make a difference for the lives of many! We look forward to continuing our relationship to place many more people into careers with our nationwide network of employer partners,” said David Muir, Senior Vice President for Easterseals Veterans Staffing Network.

“EveryMind’s ServingTogether program is proud to partner with Easterseals Veterans Service Network. Their expertise in helping those who have served our country find meaningful and lasting employment is invaluable and instrumental to improving the lives of service members, veterans and their families living in the National Capital Region. We appreciate Easterseals’ reputation for high quality, impactful services provided by compassionate and dedicated staff, so formalizing our partnership simply reinforces and strengthens the work we have done together thus far. The ServingTogether network of health and human service providers and the military-connected community we serve will be the ultimate beneficiaries of this important relationship between our two organizations,” said Ann Mazur, Chief Executive Officer for EveryMind.

With an estimated 310,000 veterans nationwide looking for work and 44 percent of veterans leaving their first post-military job within the first year (according to the George W. Bush Institute), this collaboration aims to connect veterans and military families to resources that can better address the issues related to long-term unemployment and underemployment, especially among those living with disabilities or special needs.
