Gather your friends and family to make an impact in the life of an individual living with a disability and their loved ones. Currently, we're proud to serve nearly 6,500 children and adults with disabilities across Illinois, Kansas, and Missouri, but with your support, we can extend our reach even further.

Whether you choose to host an event in the comfort of your own home or at a local venue, your efforts play a pivotal role in making our mission possible. Together, we are leading the way to 100% equity, inclusion, and access for all individuals, of all abilities.

Get started today by following these three easy steps below. And remember, we're here every step of the way to support you in bringing your event to life. Let us know what you're planning, and we can help make it possible!

Need resources or help activating your event? Don't hesitate to reach out to McKenzi Melching, Community Relations Manager at mckenzi.melching@esmw.org.

Prepare to Party

Choose what type of event you'd like to host. Pick from the examples below or come up with your own idea! Select a location, day, and time. After deciding what kind of event you want to host and when, set a fundraising goal. You can even create an online event page to make it even easier for you and your guests to donate.

Spread the Word

Send out invites! Let friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers know that they're invited to an incredible impactful event to support Easterseals' mission. Let them know what you're doing and why you're doing it. Sharing why you want to support Easterseals will help inspire them to get involved.

Step 3: Plan to Party!

Gather the decorations and food, count your RSVPs, and get ready to party! On the day of the event, be sure to thank everyone for coming and let them know  that all the funds raised will help support nearly 6,500 people affected by disabilities. Remember, we can help you with signs, donation forms, decorations, and information about Easterseals and the work we do. Most importantly - have fun!

After the Event

After your party is over, don't forget to thank your guests not only for joining you, but also for helping to change the lives of people with disabilities.

If you've collected your donations via cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, etc., you can combine the funds and drop off or mail cash or checks to our office:

When you drop off or mail in your gift, please include your name, a list of enclosed gifts with each donor's name, gift amount, and whether they used cash or check if possible. This information helps us accurately record all donations.

Last but not least, we would love to see how your event went! Send in photos, videos, or just tell us about your experience and we'll be sure to thank you on social media. Send photos, videos, or your experience to marketing@esmw.org or share your images and tag us directly on social media.
