Silver Spring, MD — Governor Wes Moore has appointed Grace Caulfield – Director of the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic (Cohen Clinic) and Vice President of Easterseals DC MD VA – to the Maryland Commission on Veterans and Military Families.
“As a member of the Commission, I am committed to equity for Maryland veterans and military families. It’s a true privilege to serve our residents, and I thank Governor Moore for this appointment,” says Caulfield.
As Director of the Cohen Clinic, Caulfield oversees operations of one of the 24 sites in the Cohen Veterans Network, which uses evidence-based therapy to improve the quality of life for people with military backgrounds and their families. She also maintains a small caseload, providing treatment to veterans, particularly those who served in Iraq and Afghanistan wars, their families, and active-duty military personnel.
The Maryland Commission on Veterans and Military Families offers recommendations and assesses quality of life to make Maryland the best state for veterans and military families, relative to other states. Members are appointed by the Maryland Governor, Senate President, or House Speaker.
