Easterseals Announces New Lead Clinician of the Cohen Clinic at Easterseals

Silver Spring, MD — Easterseals DC MD VA is thrilled to announce Shea Lott, Ph.D., as the new Lead Clinician of the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Easterseals. Dr. Lott will be responsible for clinical supervision of staff and subject matter expertise in evidenced-based care, assisting in management of day-to-day clinic operations, overseeing onsite training for graduate students and the clinic post-doctoral fellow, and managing staff schedules and clinic coverage.

“We are very excited to have Dr. Lott join our clinic team. He brings with him very strong clinical and supervision skills and a background in family therapy, which is a critical asset to our clinic,” said Dr. Anneke Vandenbroek, Director of the Cohen Clinic at Easterseals. “Dr. Lott will play a significant role in guiding our clinical staff and graduate student trainees to fulfill our mission of helping the military community achieve their potential and live meaningful lives through excellent behavioral health care services.”

Shea Lott HeadshotDr. Lott is a licensed clinical neuro forensic psychologist with experience providing comprehensive mental health care for children, adolescents, couples and families. He is dedicated to improving the health and quality of life for all by focusing on social and cultural factors that impact the development of various psychological and behavioral disorders. He has a particular passion for treating individuals with mood disorders, anxiety, PTSD, and relational problems. 

Prior to joining the Cohen Clinic at Easterseals, he worked in numerous leadership roles in a variety of settings over the past several years including in hospitals, research, community mental health, academia, and behavioral health care with both military service members and civilian populations. He has also provided consultation to agencies and communities, cultural competency, diversity training, and supervision of masters, doctoral, medical students, and psychiatric residents and fellows.

Dr. Lott holds a Doctorate and Master of Science degrees in Clinical Neuro Psychology from Howard University.
