Getting Wild With Easterseals Respite Program

Child holds snake during respite program petting zoo

The Robert S. Wilson, Jr. Community Respite Program held a wild event at the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Inter-Generational Center, featuring a reptile petting zoo and arts and crafts! The program enables parents of children with special needs to receive a much-needed break and connect with other caregivers while their children receive individualized care and attention from a volunteer. This gives everyone a chance to rest and replenish, which strengthens families and the community. The activities happen monthly at The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Inter-Generational Center in Silver Spring and include magicians, face painters, clowns, petting zoos and other engaging, hands-on activities.
