The Robert S. Wilson, Jr. Community Respite Program held a Halloween event at the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Inter-Generational Center in Silver Spring.
Children enjoyed a variety of fall festivities and spooky activities, including a reptile petting zoo, pumpkin decorating, and face painting. Each child was paired with a volunteer to accompany him or her throughout the day. This month, we had 30 incredible volunteers! Our monthly respite events give parents a chance to rest and replenish, which strengthens families and the community.
The Easterseals Respite Program provides a range of support and enriching experiences for children with and without disabilities, from wounded warrior, military, and civilian families. For more information about our Respite Services, please visit us HERE.
