COMCAST VOLUNTEERS LEND A HELPING HAND AT THE HARRY AND JEANETTE WEINBERG INTER-GENERATIONAL CENTER IN SILVER SPRING, MARYLAND

comcast

On Saturday, April 23, a group of volunteers from Comcast stopped by the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Inter-Generational Center in Silver Spring, Maryland to lend the Easter Seals staff a helping hand. This volunteer effort was part of the Comcast Cares initiative.

Comcast volunteers arrived at Easter Seals early Saturday morning to move boxes, organize old files, sort, and pack items to be donated, in an effort to prepare the building for an expansion renovation to accommodate and serve the growing population of families in the community who need us most. The renovation will provide additional space for the Early Childhood Education Program, Medical Adult Day Services, and the Veterans Employment Program and Veteran Staffing Network.

Easter Seals is committed to advancing opportunities for children and adults with disabilities or special needs, including wounded warriors, military personnel, veterans and their families. We thank Comcast for their continued support of our efforts and look forward to serving the growing population of people in need.
