Silver Spring, MD — When the clients and staff of Easterseals DC MD VA Adult Day Services (ADS) centers take a deep breath, they can be assured of inhaling the cleanest air possible, thanks to a recent a donation of 18 air purifiers from Rockville, MD-based air purification technology company Agentis Air.
Together with three years’ worth of replacement filters, the total value of the donation tops $13,000.
The air purifiers are one element in Easterseals’ comprehensive strategy to ensure the health and comfort of ADS participants across Maryland. In addition to following rigorous cleaning and disinfecting protocols, staff in the Silver Spring, Baltimore, and Hagerstown centers are committed to ensuring that participants enjoy the highest level of wellness possible.
The low-maintenance, portable room air purifiers are designed to remove fine and ultrafine particles, including viruses, mold, and dust. Agentis notes that the units are especially useful at facilities for seniors and others at increased risk from airborne particles that may transmit viruses or aggravate allergies, asthma, or other health conditions.
