Silver Spring, MD — Easterseals hosted a free night at the circus for families enrolled in the nonprofit’s programs for children, adults, and military families. Bright Stars “Night at the Circus,” presented by M&T Bank, inspired the audience, especially young children with disabilities, to reach their full potential.

Bright Stars is a relaxing night out for Easterseals families. Now in its 26th year, Bright Stars gives families a fun night together, surrounded by others who enjoy Easterseals programs. The exclusive showing also enables families to connect with one another in an inclusive, supportive environment.

For the third consecutive year, Easterseals partnered with Omnium: A Bold New Circus to provide the evening’s fun. Featuring a multi-abled troupe of performers, Omnium presents a mindful audio-visual experience, translated into American Sign Language, and aligned with the Easterseals mission.

Mike Jones, on-air personality with iHeart Radio, served as emcee, welcoming attendees and kicking off the show. iHeart Radio, along with WTOP, served as the principal media sponsors of the Easterseals event.

Other local supporters included major sponsors M&T Bank, John McMahon, Accenture, Ruppert Companies, and many more.

In total, Bright Stars 2024 raised over $360,000 for Easterseals’ high-quality services in education, employment, and health and well-being around the Washington, DC; Maryland; and Northern Virginia region. The funds help keep program costs affordable for participating individuals and families.
