Great Day Washington Highlights Easter Seals and its Impact on the Community

Chris Leary, co-host of Great Day Washington on WUSA9 visited the Easter Seals Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Child Development Center in Washington, D.C. and profiled one of our families.

Chris met with Christine and her daughter Cailyn, whose lives were changed by Easter Seals. Cailyn was born with a genetic heart condition, and had several surgeries, including a heart transplant in her first year of life. Christine would not be able to afford childcare and therapy services at Easter Seals without the help of a scholarship, so Easter Seals is thrilled to be able to provide this type of support through generous donors, foundations, and members of the community.

Chris Leary also highlighted the M&T Bank Bright Stars Night at the Circus benefiting Easter Seals, which is an opportunity for sponsors to send children like Cailyn and their families to a fun-filled night at the circus. The support of corporate and individual donors make this night possible, and as Ringing Brothers prepare to say their final farewell, we hope you can come out for a magical night with Easter Seals.
