On Tuesday July 3, Easterseals DC MD VA hosted Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett; Ken Reichard, Assistant to Senator Ben Cardin; and Chuck Short, Special Assistant to the County Executive, for a tour of the newly renovated Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Inter-Generational Center in Silver Spring, MD. During the tour, Easterseals shared the breadth and depth of its programs that serve people of all ages with disabilities or special needs, including veterans and their families.

The Leggett Administration is committed to establishing new patterns of collaboration, participation, partnership, and governance that focus on improving the needs of residents and businesses in Montgomery County. They are especially committed to broadening the range of opportunities and services that can help children, especially from less affluent families.

During the tour, County Executive Leggett was thrilled to see that Easterseals’ Child Development Centers are focused on creating inclusive early education learning environments, and that all its programs are designed to help children and adults with all abilities reach their potential and achieve their personal goals.

Easterseals is thankful for the visit by County Executive Leggett, and we look forward to continuing our partnership in providing vital services to the community.
