Easter Seals Serving DC|MD|VA has been making positive, life-changing differences in the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families for almost 100 years. In the last several years, we've leveraged our decades of experience to adapt and expand our programs and services to meet the needs of veterans and military families in our community.
The goal is simple: to provide more military and veteran families with holistic support that enables them to thrive and strengthens our community. Additionally, these programs are administered and staffed by veterans, military family members, and professionals trained to meet the needs of veterans and their families. Yet, we know that veterans are not receiving all the care and support they need, particularly those seeking behavioral health services.
To address that need, Easter Seals is pleased to announce the launch of The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Easter Seals. The new clinic is one of the next round of openings of a chain around the country funded by the Cohen Veterans Network, a nonprofit which has received a commitment of $275 million dollars from Mr. Cohen.
The CVN selected Easter Seals for the clinic in the National Capital region because it will serve as a natural extension of our comprehensive and innovative approach to providing programs and services, and will help even more veterans and military families in our community.
The Cohen Clinic provides high-quality, accessible and integrated outpatient behavioral health care to veterans and their families, and family members of those still on active duty, in the National Guard and Reserves. Our skilled clinicians and staff have been trained to work specifically with veterans and their families, with the majority of staff- like our Veteran Staffing Network- being veterans themselves.
You can reach them by phone at 240-847-7500 or by e-mail at: firstname.lastname@example.org
