On Thursday, March 30th, Easter Seals Serving DC | MD | VA hosted its final M&T Bank Bright Stars Night at the Circus at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC. Thousands of children and adults attended the event, and over $300,000 was raised to support vital Easter Seals programs.

The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus provided an exciting night for children and adults with disabilities, including wounded warrior, active duty military personnel, veterans and their families. Several organizations and individuals joined as sponsors to help make this final farewell such a memorable one.

Cecilia Hodges, one of the Chairs for the event and M&T Bank Market President for Central and Southern Virginia said, “Your support of tonight’s event is special – you’re not just allowing families to see the circus, you are supporting critical Easter Seals services all year round and making our region a great place for people of all ages and abilities to live, learn, work and play.”

On March 29th, performers from the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus performed for the children and families of the Easter Seals Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Child Development Center in Washington, D.C. For many of the children with disabilities or special needs, the performance brought big smiles to their faces.
