Crafty Kids

Focused therapy programs are intended to allow children to address their therapeutic needs and goals amongst peers working on similar goals. This program will address executive functioning skills, fine motor skills, and social interaction with peers while using a different craft theme each week. Children will work together to problem-solve, share supplies, use visual-motor skills, and maintain sensory regulation while in this therapist-supported program. The program will have occupational therapists and speech and language pathologists present.

Who Should Participate?

Children between the ages of 5 through 8 looking to improve in the skills noted above while completing crafts and socializing. Participants need to have the ability to be in the room without parents present, maintain a safe body, and engage in conversation with others. An initial evaluation will determine the appropriateness of your child’s participation in this program. If it is determined this program is not appropriate to meet your child’s needs, alternative recommendations will be provided
