Apraxia of Speech Intensives

Research indicates that frequent and intensive therapy supports children with childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) and other severe speech sound disorders to make significant gains in their communication skills.

In this program, Speech-Language Pathologists use an evidence-based practice to support oral motor coordination, repetition through play, and augmentative supports to help children with apraxia of speech to communicate with others. This individualized intensive program provides many benefits with targeted practice daily along with home programming for improved outcomes.

Intensive therapy is offered for children ages 4-12 with CAS or other severe speech sound disorders, including phonological or articulation disorders.  Frequency of therapy and length of treatment will be determined by the evaluation.
