Infant & Toddler Sleep Issues - Easterseals

Infant and toddler sleep issues are a very common cause of stress for families, which is why at Easterseals DuPage & Fox Valley, we take children’s sleep problems very seriously. Our goal is to help address caregivers’ concerns, assess any potential sleep disorders, and provide the best treatment possible to ensure children maintain a healthy and developmentally appropriate sleep schedule.

Please note that we do not offer sleep studies.

Why Begin Here?

According to the American Academy of Pediatricians, infant and toddler sleep issues can be an early indicator of autism or other sensory disorder needs. Common children’s sleep problems include:

  • Refusal or resistance at bedtime
  • Significant sleep onset delays
  • Night awakenings requiring caregiver intervention
  • Irregular sleep-wake patterns
  • Parent/caregiver attachment for sleep onset

If you’re unsure whether your child has a sleep problem, you can view the recommended sleep guidelines for infants and toddlers below:
