Nature Club

Focused therapy programs are intended to allow children to address their therapeutic needs and goals amongst peers working on similar goals. In this program, an occupational therapist and speech-language pathologist will create opportunities for friendship formation and improve executive functioning skills.

This program occurs outside working in the garden, growing plants and going on nature walks. During inclement weather, activities will be held inside.

Children Who Will Benefit:

Children ages 10-13 that are not an elopement risk and are looking to form friendships while working on skills like time management, cooperation and executing a simple project as a team. The main goal of this nature group is to work on facilitating conversation between peers and expanding on executive functioning skills. AAC and verbal language users are all welcome.
