IEP Help

Is your child:

  • Transitioning from Early Intervention to Early Childhood?
  • Transitioning to a new school?
  • Starting a new school year?
    Navigating a new diagnosis?

Our Mental Health & Family Support team at Easterseals DuPage & Fox Valley can tell you first-hand that these aren't easy transitions! They are filled with so many unknowns and questions that at times you just want to say- thanks but no thanks! We have information to dispel the myths about the transition from Early Intervention to Early Childhood and empower you through the many transitions as your child grows.

So, how do you make your transition experience better?  There is a simple answer to that question – the more you know and understand the process, the easier it will be.

As a start, with the help from former board member, Dr. Michael Volpe, who retired after 30 years with The School Association for Special Education in DuPage County (SASED), our team has put together a comprehensive overview of information for IEPs, 504 plans and resources.

We understand an IEP is very personalized and this series will cover an overview of the process. We are here to help you through this journey and have helped countless other families just like yours. Our Care Coordinator, Annemarie LeCompte, can be the first step to answer questions and point you in the right direction of accurate information. Her door is always open, so please feel free to give her a call or stop in for a quick question.

You can reach Annemarie at 630-261-6193 or email alecompte@eastersealsdfvr.org.

We look forward to helping you make this a smooth and exciting transition.
