Work closely with the Director of Marketing to share comprehensive pediatric rehabilitation services through web, social media, email and other digital channels. Play a pivotal role in sharing the stories of children, their families, and our expert team while growing Easterseals organic online presence.

The Marketing Coordinator will help shape and execute the development of creative and accessible social media content that is timely, informational and fun, to grow audience engagement across social media platforms especially with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube. Other digital activities include writing monthly and quarterly newsletters and other email communication, updating peer-to-peer fundraising tools and organization websites, and tracking digital advertising and activities. The Marketing Coordinator will also contribute to the organization’s annual special events, such as our Run for the Kids, Bike for the Kids, and Benefit Gala, to build awareness and raise funds for our mission.

Located in our Villa Park center, the full-time position will also include monthly visits to Elgin and Naperville locations and weekly remote work opportunities.

Qualifications:

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • A well-spoken professional with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form, a keen eye for detail, plus the judgement and savvy to engage thoughtfully with diverse audiences, including individuals with disabilities and without disabilities.
  • Familiarity of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Snapchat, X, Threads) and features including Instagram stories, DMs, etc).
  • A strong writer with the ability to take content into different forms of media and social platforms.
  • Working knowledge of social media accessibility best practices.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, social media management tools, and email marketing platforms.
  • Interest and understanding of SEO principles and best practices
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative mindset and a passion for storytelling.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Up-to-date with industry trends and algorithm updates to continuously improve SEO strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in communications, marketing or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience as a content creator or content specialist.
  • Experience with social media community management (creative content creation across all social media platforms, posting, replying to messages and comments).
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Office Suite, Adobe Suite and Canva programs
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and social media advertising across platforms
  • Basic video editing skills
  • HTML/Website and Wordpress experience preferred
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Some night and weekend hours required
