Brent Wirth

President and CEO

Brent is a visionary leader with a unique combination of clinical, operational, and financial knowledge. He is passionate about improving the lives of individuals with physical, intellectual, and emotional disabilities, and their families. His commitment to service dates back to his high school and college days when he spent summers working at camps for kids with disabilities, and in the fallhe was busy organizing the Saturday bowling league for kids and adults with disabilities.  

Early in his career, Brent worked as a case management coordinator at the Oakland County Community Mental Health Authority, now called the Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN). Brent provided direct services to children with serious emotional disturbances and children diagnosed with autism, and their familiesWorking with children and families was fulfilling, but Brent knew that he could have a larger impact on the delivery system by moving into a leadership role. He transitioned into a contracts management role where he learned the financial and operational aspects of the programs.   

Brent joined the leadership team at Easterseals MORC in 2005. He served as the director of adult services from 2005 through 2009. He was promoted to chief operating officer in 2009 and was appointed to the role of president and CEO in 2010. In his current role, Brent sets the strategic vision and provides overall direction for the operations of Easterseals MORC. He works closely with the board of directors and the leadership team to improve program outcomes and financial performance. Brent is most rewarded by working with people and seeing the impact of Easterseals MORC’s programs on individuals, families and the community-at-large.  

Brent holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in social work from Wayne State UniversityHe is also a graduate of Leadership Oakland (LOXX).  

Outside of work, Brent spends time with his wife and two children. He also enjoys playing golf and cheering on the Michigan State Spartans.
