Lending Library

The Lending Library is a great way to make sure a product works for you before making a purchase.  It is free to all Iowans and five items may be checked out at a time for up to 30 days. A physician, physical therapist, or medical professional’s signature is required for weighted items; please complete the Weighted Item Approval Form.With more than 1,000 devices to loan, there are items to assist with a variety of skills, including:

  • Activities of daily living, from bathing to eating
  • Memory aids
  • Devices to assist with medication management
  • Books with sensory engagement
  • Computer adaptations, from one-handed keyboards to voice activated software
  • Safety devices from anti-fall devices to wander notification alarms
  • And many more items to help in the home, the car, and the office.
