In the next decade, over 71 million Americans will be 65 years of age and older. With the increasing numbers of older persons and persons with lifelong disabilities living longer, we will see a broader demand for home and community-based services. These services will help manage activities of daily living that may be limited as a result of acute or chronic conditions, and will keep people integrated in their communities.
At Easter Seals Iowa, many seniors utilize the Assistive Technology Center which provides aids to assist with daily living activities. Seniors are eligible to participate in all adult service programming, Supported Communitiy Living, camp and respite, case management, Rural Solutions, and employment services.
Iowa Coalition on Mental Health and Aging
The Iowa Coalition on Mental Health and Aging exists to expand and improve mental health care for older Iowans so that they can live, learn, recreate, engage in meaningful activities and access appropriate services in the communities of their choice.
