Easterseals Unveils New Look for a New Year

January 1, 2017

Children and adults with disabilities find highest-quality services designed to meet their individual needs when they come to Easterseals.

Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore, one of the region’s largest provider of disability services, is proud to announce the public launch of a revitalized brand, including a new logo and a streamlined name. The rebrand is part of a national strategy to increase public awareness of the mission and scope of services with a more modern, bold look for the organization.

“Sometimes we feel like Easterseals is a ‘best-kept secret’. Often people are familiar with our name, but unaware of the amazing range of services we offer for people with disabilities and seniors,” Kenan J. Sklenar, Easterseals President/CEO, said. “This whole new look will help introduce Easterseals to a new generation of families who need our services and a new generation of donors and volunteers. We can’t settle with being a ‘best-kept secret’ anymore!”

Easterseals’ mission to provide cutting edge services to people with all types of disabilities and seniors will remain the focus of the organization’s work.

“While our look is changing, our extraordinary mission helping people with disabilities reach their goals for independence remains the same,” Sklenar said. “Locally, our staff, core values and dedication to delivering high-quality, innovative services to our community is not changing. Our consumers, donors, volunteers and partners can trust that we continue to hold their best interests at the very core of our services.”

The brand renaissance was initiated by National Easterseals after extensive research was conducted by a leading, well-respected marketing firm. National surveys showed that while individuals over 50 are familiar with Easterseals, the organization ranks extremely low in awareness with individuals under age 50.

“Research shows that there are millions of Americans, especially younger generations, who we know care about our cause, but don’t yet know us or understand all that we do,” Sklenar said. “This bold new look will allow us to reintroduce Easterseals to the public as an indispensable resource for people with disabilities and their families.”

Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore offers a range of services, including children’s therapies, assistive technology, recreational camping, day programs for adults with physical or intellectual disabilities, and respite services for caregivers.
