A. Easterseals provides services for people with disabilities and/or special needs as well as support to their families. We’ve been helping families for more than 85 years. Easterseals assists more than 1 million individuals annually at more than 550 Easterseals sites across the nation.
Locally, Easterseals Central and Southeast Ohio has provided services to people with disabilities and their families for over 70 years. Currently, we serve over 5,000 families in 28 Ohio counties.

A. No. Easterseals is committed to caring for people with all types of disabilities and special needs resulting from any cause- whether diagnosed at birth or incurred through disease, accidental injury or the aging process.
Q. How many people receive Easterseals services each year?
A. Every year, more than one million individuals benefit from Easterseals services. Locally, Easterseals Central and Southeast Ohio provided over 170,000 hours of service to nearly 1,000 families last year.
Q. How is Easterseals supported financially?
A. Easterseals receives funding from a variety of sources, including private insurers, government agencies and fee-for-service. To make our services accessible to as many people as possible Easterseals also relies on public contributions. Public contributions help cover the difference between actual program costs and revenue.
