Meet Ariel!

Easterseals MORC Helps Young Girl to Become Ready to Take on the World.

Ariel is a sweet, young girl who loves to dance and sing, especially when that involves singing songs by her favorite group, BTS. She also enjoys watching countless episodes of Coco Melon and Gracie Corner. However, Ariel’s life didn’t always seem this simple. When Ariel was born prematurely at 24 weeks, her mother, Tia, explained that the doctors were unsure that young Ariel was going to make it.

“Ariel weighed 13 ounces when she was born,” Tia said. “Looking at her now, you would never guess that she had such a rocky start to life.”

In 2020, Tia found Easterseals MORC for her daughter, who was experiencing difficulties with social interaction and communication.  At the age of two years old, Ariel began receiving Autism services, and occupational and speech therapies at Easterseals MORC.

“The biggest change I have seen in Ariel since starting to receive services at Easterseals MORC, is her increased communication skills,” Tia said. “She has become more vocal and engaged with people she comes into contact with. She is thriving in life and has become our family’s little rock star!”

Although Ariel is still young, she has begun to develop her personality, she’s has become more communicative, and her family has seen increased development. Tia explained her gratitude for the team that has helped her to become a more well-rounded little girl since she began attending therapy at Easterseals MORC.

“Thanks to Easterseals MORC, Ariel has become more independent, she’ become sassy in a good way, and she is ready to take on the world,” Tia said. “My daughter has become a happier version of herself since beginning services at Easterseals MORC. That’s all our family could ask for.”

Tia explained that Ariel also enjoys jumping on her trampoline, playing with her dog and is a big fan of being outdoors.

Ariel hasn't expressed what she wants to be when she grows up, but she loves plants, animals, and bugs; basically anything outdoors.” Tia said. “I can see Ariel being a Botanist or Zoologist when she grows up.”
