Congrats to our 2019 Lily Seal Artists

Throughout 100 years of history with Easterseals, lily seals have been a symbol of hope and a reminder of the potential that children and adults with disabilities have to achieve their dreams. Over the years, we've mailed out lily seal stickers so that supporters like you can share with friends, family and neighbors. They spread our mission far and wide, allowing us to continue providing life-changing services.

2019 lily blanketThe tradition continues! We thank all of the artists who submitted their pieces this year. We've selected one artpiece to be featured on our annual lily blanket. Another 5 selected art pieces will be featured in our lily seal mailings for this year.

If a blanket seems like a good thing to have for the cold winter months, you can get one shipped to your door with a $15 donation.

Lily is one of the flowers I like the best because they are graceful and elegant."

mellow yellow lily art Elizabeth

"Mellow Yellow" - Elizabeth Samaniego

"I am a 70 year old, retired school teacher. In my 33 year career, I taught social studies, then special education. After early retirement, I decided to take an art class at a local community center. Our teacher, Fred Holly is an accomplished artist himself. He has art work in several museums, businesses and private homes. He is a very positive and encouraging teacher. He has opened up a whole new world to myself and others. I never dreamed I could do what I am doing now with my art. I owe it all to him! He gave us the forms and encouraged everyone to submit a piece. I decided to enter for the fun of it!

I have learned more about Easterseals than I did before. As a special education teacher, your work resonates with my view of people with special needs. Our program was a functional skills program that enabled our students to learn basic skills so that they could function in society. Fred and I are very proud that my piece was selected along with 5 others from the over 200 entries! Thank you for this opportunity and honor."
