Easterseals is proud to support the new award-winning documentary Swim Team by partnering on the film’s national rollout as part of an innovative campaign to encourage inclusion in our communities.

Swim Team chronicles the extraordinary rise of the Jersey Hammerheads, a competitive swim team of diverse teens on the autism spectrum. The film follows three of the team’s star athletes who are on the cusp of adulthood and grappling with “aging out” of school district support. As the team vies for state and national Special Olympics championships, Swim Team captures a moving quest for inclusion and independence.

Swim Team’s grassroots screening campaign allows people across the country to view this special story in welcoming environments that foster community. Easterseals is excited to collaborate on this initiative that amplifies the voices of the disability community and introduces a new face of the American family to those who haven’t yet been touched by disability.

#TeamUp with Easterseals and Swim Team by hosting or attending a screening in your community.
