Work at Easter Seals Camp

Easter Seals camps provide recreation and leisure activities to children and adults with physical or cognitive disabilities. The mission of Easter Seals camps is to increase the quality of life of people with disabilities. Program goals strengthen independence, promote positive self-esteem, focus on the individual's capabilities and facilitate social interaction.

Easter Seals camps are located in 22 states across the country. Each camp offers a variety of locations and employment opportunities for men and women. You can work as a counselor providing the care and assistance many campers need or as a program director in horseback riding, aquatics, sports, nature studies or arts and crafts. Many camps offer a variety of adventure activities including whitewater canoe trips, rock climbing and rappelling, ropes courses, sailing and even water skiing -- all designed for people with disabilities. Summer camp seasons vary in length according to each camp but generally run between 6 and 12 weeks.

How do I apply for a job opening?
Contact one of our many camp locations to receive specific information and an application, simply give the camp a call and ask to speak to the camp director.

What kind of jobs are available?
Each year, Easter Seals camps have hundreds of summer job openings. The number of staff hired by each camp varies from a few dozen to 80. Not every camp will offer each of the listed positions, but this will give you and idea of the variety of available jobs.
