Easterseals/CAI Volleyball Challenge Raises Over $240,000

Easterseals recognizes the following top fundraising teams and individuals in the Easterseals/CAI Volleyball Challenge who helped raise over $240,000 for people with disabilities and their families. A special thanks to the 2018 Ambassador, Emily Hurst, and her mom who were among the top fundraising individuals for this year’s event.

Top Team Fundraisers are:

Julia’s Jammers, Captain Julia Hensley, of Middletown, won a Barclays Lincoln Financial Field Suite Philadelphia Eagles pre-season game

Leadership Delaware 2018, Captain Sara Bussiere, of Wilmington, won a wine, beer and bourbon tasting at Deerfield Fine Wines

Grotto Pizza - Newark, Captain Emily Dryer, of Newark, won 20 tickets to a Blue Rocks suite

Top Individual Fundraisers are:

Michael Pfeifer, of Newark (Leadership Delaware 2018), won an Orlando getaway complete with Southwest Airline passes, SeaWorld tickets, Aquatica tickets, and several other adventures

Keith Kepplinger, of Middletown (Mystery of Saint Anne’s), two passes to Firefly and a Napier Sports SUV tent to stay in during your weekend stay

Kevin DiSabatino, of Wilmington (DiSabatino Construction Spikers), a 30-minute helicopter ride where you can fly the helicopter

“The critically needed dollars raised in the Volleyball Challenge mean so much to the families served by Easterseals, like our Volleyball Ambassador, Emily and her mom. Once again, the Challenge was a success for people with disabilities, raising over $240,000. Easterseals exceptional services and programs play a crucial role in increasing the independence of thousands of individuals with disabilities of all ages and abilities,” Julie Master Grilliot, Chair of the Easterseals/CAI Volleyball Challenge, said. “Thank you to everyone for helping us support the needs of people with disabilities and their families in our area. Together we really make a difference!”
