Easterseals/CAI Volleyball Challenge Raises Over $309,000

Easterseals recognizes the following top fundraising teams and individuals in the Easterseals/CAI Volleyball Challenge who helped raise over $309,000 for people with disabilities and their families. A special thanks to the 2017 Ambassador, Journey Parson, and her family who were among the top fundraising individuals for this year’s event.
 
Top Team Fundraisers are:
Matt’s Lifesavers, Captain Kate Antisavage, of Newark, won a Barclays Lincoln Financial Field Suite Philadelphia Eagles pre-season game
Grotto Newark, Captain Emily Dryer, of Newark, won tickets to a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race
Julia’s Jammers, Captain Julia Hensley, of Middletown, won tickets to a Blue Rocks suite
 
Top Individual Fundraisers are:
Matt Welch, of Claymont (Matt’s Lifesavers), won a one-week stay in a 3-bedroom condo in Myrtle Beach, SC
Julia Hensley, of Middletown (Julia’s Jammers), won two four-day-passes to Firefly
Journey Parson, of Smyrna (Team Journey Girl), won a 30-minute photography session with SamantHarter Photography of Rising Sun, MD that includes a disc with the rights to all pictures taken.
 
“The critically needed dollars raised in the Volleyball Challenge mean so much to the families served by Easterseals, like our Volleyball Ambassador family, the Parsons. Once again, the Challenge was a success for people with disabilities, raising over $309,000. Easterseals exceptional services and programs play a crucial role in increasing the independence of thousands of individuals with disabilities of all ages and abilities,” Julie Master Grilliot, Chair of the Easterseals/CAI Volleyball Challenge, said. “Thank you to everyone for helping us support the needs of people with disabilities and their families in our area. Together we really make a difference!”
