CAI/Easter Seals Volleyball Challenge Raises Over $344,400

Easter Seals Recognizes Top Fundraisers

Easter Seals recognizes the following top fundraising teams and individuals in the CAI/Easter Seals Volleyball Challenge who helped raise over $344,400 for people with disabilities and their families.

Top Team Fundraisers are:

  • Matt’s Lifesavers, Captain Kate Antisavage, of Newark, won a Barclays Lincoln Financial Field Suite Philadelphia Eagles pre-season game;
  • Leadership Delaware Class of 2016, Captain Amye McDearmon, of Newark, won tickets to a Dover NASCAR race;
  • Leadership Delaware - Bernando, Captain Bernando Tiburcio, of Malvern, PA, won tickets to a Blue Rocks suite.

Top Individual Fundraisers are:

  • Kelley Welch, of Claymont (Matt’s Lifesavers), won a one-week stay in a 5-bedroom/3 bathroom house in Rehoboth Beach, DE;
  • Vinnie Houck, of Newark (TD Green Spikers), won a one-week stay in a 3-bedroom condo in Myrtle Beach, SC;
  • Bill Hanrahan, of Landenberg, PA (Tech Lobbers), won a 30-Minute Helicopter Ride with Horizon Helicopters.

“Once again, our Volleyball Challenge was a huge success for people with disabilities. So far, we have raised over $344,400 critically needed dollars for Easter Seals services and programs. Easter Seals exceptional services play a crucial role in increasing the independence of thousands of individuals with disabilities of all ages and abilities,” Julie Master Grilliot, Chair of the CAI/Easter Seals Volleyball Challenge, said. “Thank you to everyone for helping us support the needs of people with disabilities and their families in our area. Together we really make a difference!”
