Birth to Three Program

What is Birth to Three?

At Easterseals we provide services within a child’s natural environment to assist in strengthening families’ and caregivers’ capacities to help meet the developmental and health-related needs of their infants and toddlers.  We use best practices in early intervention to provide support to parents and caregivers so that they can support their child’s development through everyday activities since parents are a child’s best teacher.

Primary Service Provider (PSP) and Coaching

Every family in Birth to Three is assigned a PSP.  This person is the primary person who comes into the home and has been selected by our team to be the best fit for a family.  The PSP is there to support families through reflective practices, so that the family is providing the intervention their child needs through every day activities.  This is done by building on what a family is already doing and working with them as a team to build their capacities.  Though only one person is coming primarily into the home, they are supported by a team of therapist who they consult with on a weekly basis.
