Deaf Mentor and Snapshots Programs

The Deaf Mentor and Snapshots Provider Programs offer services to families and their infants and young children up through age 3 who are deaf or hard of hearing. Services are offered statewide and occur in the child’s natural learning environments – home and community. Services are individually tailored to meet the strengths and needs of each child and their family.  Funding for this program is provided by the Ohio Department of Health.

The Deaf Mentor and Snapshots Provider Programs are available to families enrolled in Part C Early Intervention and are free of cost. Funding for this program is provided by the Ohio Department of Health.

Deaf Mentors and Snapshot Providers are trained and experienced in working with families. Our providers will work with your family to answer any questions you have about deafness and deaf culture, as well as promote communication and language development in your young deaf or hard of hearing child. Together you and your provider will plan and develop a language-rich environment for your child.
