Vocational Services

Case Management Services

Easterseals employs case managers to provide independent living and communication support to Deaf, hard of hearing, and deafblind individuals, as well as their families and communities.
 
The following services are provided by an Easterseals case manager:

  • Information and Referral Services
  • Independent Living Skills Training
  • Peer Counseling
  • Individual and Systems Advocacy

The program is funded by the Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities and serves individuals residing in Ashtabula, Trumbull, Mahoning, Columbiana, Jefferson, Belmont, Guernsey, Noble, Monroe and parts of Washington Counties.

Vocational Services

Vocational services are provided in collaboration with the Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation. Easterseals provides job coaches who assist Deaf adults and their employers in adapting to new employment opportunities. A job coach can work with the Deaf employee for up to six months, with the goal of achieving a successful and lasting job placement.
