Summer Youth Day-Camp

The Youth Day-Camp (YDC) is sponsored by the Easterseals Community Center for the Deaf and funded by Advocate for Kids, United Way of Mahoning County, The Youngstown Foundation, and other grants! This recreational and educational program is FREE for all participants and designed help our youth develop necessary life skills, improve self-confidence, practice leadership, learn social responsibility, and form a supportive network of friends like them. YDC also provides opportunities throughout the year to be involved in educational & recreational activities/workshops, community service, leadership training, and fundraising events.

Our program will be hosted in-person this year!

1.    Participants must be enrolled in school (up to 12th grade) or a recent graduate (May/June 2022).
2.    Participants must be age 6-22 years old.
3.    Participants must be Deaf, Hard-Of-Hearing, or a CODA; including children with Cochlear Implant(s), Hearing Aid(s), and/or other assistive hearing devices.
4.    Participants must reside in Ohio.

Please keep in mind, since we have limited availability for transportation purposes, we will accept children who are within our service areas before we accept others. If you know anyone who may be interested in this program, please feel free to share this information!
