Summer is almost here!! The Summer Youth Day-Camp (SYDC) is sponsored by the Easterseals Community Center for the Deaf. SYDC is funded by Advocates for Kids, United Way of Mahoning County, and other grants. This day-camp is an educational and recreational program that is FREE and open to all Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Children with Cochlear Implants, Children with Hearing Aids, and Children of Deaf Adults (CODAs). All children, ages 6 to 22, must be enrolled in school in order to participate. May 2019 high school graduates are welcome to join our program as well! We will have games, crafts, free playing time, workshops, field trips, and so much more!
There is no charge for this program, however spending money for your child is optional. Parents and guardians are welcome to contribute snacks and drinks if they wish.
Our meeting locations will be:
All children MUST be dropped off at one of these 4 locations listed above. Due to the new policy, we cannot pick up children from their homes. After each event, we will drop off the children at the location they were picked up from that morning. Please refer to the Parent Pre-Camp Survey Form to pick your meeting location and review the rules in the Camp Rules Form.
If your child wishes to attend our Summer Youth Day-Camp, please fill out the Summer Youth Applications. You must fill out all required forms to complete the application. Please refer to the Check List Form for more information.
We will send a finalized summer schedule once we have received ALL of the required forms by May 17th.
