Meet the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center's 2022-2023 Clinical & Developmental Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow:

Jamie B. Gaither, Ph.D.

Originally from the Atlanta, Georgia area, Jamie Gaither moved to Indiana in the fall of 2016 to begin her graduate education in School Psychology at Ball State University. She has completed all graduate coursework, successfully defended her dissertation, and anticipates formal graduation in December 2022.  As part of her PhD training, Jamie completed an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited internship in clinical child psychology here at Easterseals Rehabilitation Center in 2021-2022.

Throughout her training, Dr. Gaither developed a passion for working with rural and underserved communities, as well as working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders and their families. Jamie delivers Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in her work with clients. Other psychological services Jamie provides include the following: evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents with clinical concerns of autism spectrum, anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress disorder, and attention-deficit, in addition to a wide range of backgrounds and psychological issues. Dr. Gaither has presented at several local and national conferences on training teachers to implement evidence-based interventions. She has also conducted trainings for school personnel on best-practices in behavioral management.

In addition to her passion for all things related to child psychology, Jamie is an avid sports lover, book reader, and enjoys exploring many of southern Indiana’s beautiful parks. Jamie loves to travel, and is delighted things are opening up so she can continue on her current project of visiting all 50 states. She is so excited to continue her training here in the wonderful and welcoming community at Easterseals and Southwestern Indiana!
