Equipment Loan

Easterseals Iowa loans refurbished medical equipment at a nominal fee to individuals with disabilities or illness. Having the proper medical equipment can often mean the difference between simply existing with a long-term or short-term disability or being cared for at home and functioning independently. Easterseals offers a wide variety of equipment for loan including wheelchairs (manual and power, adult and pediatric), walkers (adult and pediatric), shower benches, hoyer lifts and hospital beds. Eligibility

Equipment is available for loan to Iowans with a disability who do not reside in a licensed care facility. A prescription from a medical practitioner for the equipment is required and an application must be completed, along with the fee. The equipment can be used for as long as needed and returned to Easterseals Iowa when no longer needed. Availability of equipment is based on our inventory.

Donate Equipment

The Equipment Loan program operates solely through donations of good quality durable medical equipment. We accept items in good to excellent condition. Call 515-309-2395 to arrange an appointment to deliver a donation to the Assistive Technology Center, located at 401 NE 66th Ave. in Des Moines, Iowa.
