Souplantation & Sweet Tomatoes kicks off a companywide cookie campaign for Easter Seals this weekend, with a $1.00 donation going to Easter Seals for every $1.99 bag of the restaurant’s freshly baked homemade cookies sold during June. Since each bag also includes a $2 coupon that can be used on the next visit to Souplantation or Sweet Tomatoes, it’s an easy way for guests to contribute to a great cause.

“We thank Souplantation & Sweet Tomatoes for their continued support,” said James E. Williams, Jr., president and chief executive officer, Easter Seals, Inc. “Souplantation & Sweet Tomatoes are helping Easter Seals create life-changing solutions for children and adults with disabilities.”

Souplantation & Sweet Tomatoes will donate all net proceeds from the campaign to local Easter Seals affiliates. Restaurant guests can support essential disability programs in their community every time they visit Souplantation & Sweet Tomatoes June 1 through June 30, 2013.

“Easter Seals has been helping children and adults with disabilities and other special needs for nearly a century,” said Tammy Bailey, Chief Marketing Officer of Souplantation and Sweet Tomatoes parent Garden Fresh Restaurant Corp. “We’re proud to have raised nearly $180,000 dollars for Easter Seals over the past six years and with every one of our restaurants participating this year, we expect to have a banner month for this important cause.”

This is the first year that Souplantation & Sweet Tomatoes will be offering the cookie campaign for Easter Seals in all of their 128 restaurants across the nation. With the help of generous consumers, 20 Easter Seals affiliate organizations will benefit from this year’s campaign.
