Child Development Centers

Easter Seals has the nation’s largest network of inclusive child development centers for infants through preschool (0-5 years of age). In these settings educators meet the needs of students (with and without disabilities) through the use of specialized approaches and instruction to prepare preschoolers for entry into the school system or to support current students to achieve at their highest level.

With a focus on reaching developmental milestones through hands-on learning, services are provided in a natural environment to promote growth and success.

Murray Child Development Center- Tampa

Our small setting program serves children 12 months to 5 years of age where we assist families with preventive health care, serve as a liaison between a child’s physician and the school, implement therapy and early intervention plans in the classroom setting.  We use Beyond Cribs and Rattles and The Creative Curriculum for Preschool which are comprehensive research-based  curricula that feature exploration and discovery as ways of learning.

Our teachers modify their classroom curriculum as needed such that each child receives specialized instruction which meets their unique needs.  Each child is screened for delays upon enrollment and at their birth month using the Ages and Stages Questionnaires (ASQ).  Based on these ASQ’s and any additional information provided by the family, physician or therapist, goals are created.  The teachers work collaboratively with therapists and families to support success in reaching goals and developmental milestones.
