Virtual STRIVE in Hospitality
Easterseals Florida’s STRIVE in Hospitality Program assists individuals aged 16 and older with disabilities or other special needs who may desire to become employed in Central Florida’s largest industry—Hospitality and Tourism. The 14-16 week program is a skills training course led by Certified Hospitality Department Trainers. Students have the potential to obtain five nationally recognized certifications from AHLEI, one for each module.
Program Curriculum: Participants will learn the basics of lodging operation and guest services to enable them to succeed while promoting professionalism, self-confidence, positive work ethics, and crucial soft skills needed in the workplace. Modules include, Breakfast Attendant, Guestroom Attendant, Maintenance, Front Desk, and Guest Service Gold.
