Easter Seals of Southeastern Pennsylvania History and Mission
For more than 70 years, Easter Seals of Southeastern Pennsylvania has been helping people with disabilities gain greater independence. Our mission is to provide exceptional services to ensure that all people with disabilities or special needs and their families have equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play in their communities.
Our services include Approved Private School, special classrooms, summer programs, Assistive technology, early intervention programs and various outpatient speech, physical and occupational therapy programs. Children who receive these services are challenged with a variety of disabilities, including autism, cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, spina bifida and physical and developmental delays.
Funding for programs and services comes from a variety of sources. Over $1 million of our annual operating budget comes from charitable contributions. Support comes from corporate and foundation grants, individual gifts and special events.
In the spotlight
Easter Seals Walk With Me is an event to raise awareness and support for families living with disabilities! Join hundreds of passionate people in your community for a day full of entertainment, fun and, of course, our signature walk! Every walk event is different -- your walk could be at a local school or at the aquarium. But every walk is a lifeline of funds that enables your local Easter Seals to continue providing vital services and support to people with disabilities and their families.
