Equine Facilitated Mental Health (EFMH) is a fast growing and widely accepted field which includes horses in a team approach to improving mental health and overall well-being. Also included in the team are a licensed mental health professional and a certified equine specialist.
Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL) is an experiential form of learning that includes horses in a team approach to growth and learning. Also included in the team are a licensed educator and a certified equine specialist. Horses’ prey nature and intense sensitivity to subtle changes in their environment make them perfect partners for professionals who teach a wide range of life and coping skills. Participants in EFMH&L sessions experience: improved confidence, self-efficacy, motivation, and communication skills. At Edgar’s Farm, we offer sessions for groups and individuals.
